I was asked by a colleague to create a logo for a jiu-jitsu gym they were opening, along with social media graphic templates and a rash guard design. I also handled all of the photography for the brand. They wanted the overall feel to be timeless and welcoming.

For the visual identity, I incorporated a subtle paper texture inspired by the grooves of a traditional gi kimono, which carries through the social graphics, and website to create consistency. The color palette of red, white, and black was chosen at their request to stay authentic to the sport and reinforce the strength and tradition behind the design.
